The Good:
-2 students dropped my last period class this week, bringing my class down to 36 people.
-After calling 48 parents regarding failing grades/discipline issues, some students turned in work and now I only have about 20 students failing.
-One of my students I have been working with made a choice to try and bring a good attitude with her to class every day this week.
The Bad:
-My last period class actually brought me to tears on Thursday.
-I just today realized one of my students skipped my class for two days in August when I was first getting organized, and have to deal with that this upcoming week.
-Romans 3:23 up close and personal.
The Ugly:
-The drug dogs were out today for a long time in the hallway, and I don't think they got everything because I smelled an odd smell in the hallway between ninth and tenth period.
-Tornado drill ninth period on Wednesday: absolute misery for all involved, teachers and students alike.
-Hall Freeze 2nd period plus drug dogs 3rd period plus Hall Freeze in the afternoon=very stuffy hot classroom with no slightly cooler hallway air coming in.
