Next Steps

A shout-out to everyone who keeps up with me via this blog! I'm posting an exerpt from my most recent prayer letter update about what my plans are for the next few months. Stay tuned to hear what God does!
I will be in Nicaragua from June 12-20 with College Park Church for the fourth year in a row! Again this year we will be doing teacher workships and pastor training, as well as other projects the church there needs us to complete. I am looking forward to furthering relationships I have begun there and seeing what God continues to do in the lives of the community there.
I am planning on going to Honduras again this summer for Comunidad Cristiana en Honduras' annual summer outreach, which consists of a plate of food (hotdog and chips) as well as ice cream for the entire village, plus Bible stories and songs for the children. "Hotdogs for Jesus" sounds pretty corny, but it is amazing what God does in the lives of Hondurans and Americans alike during these weeks. For the Hondurans it has become an annual event to look forward to, as well as a strong reminder of Jesus' love and salvation. Every year I see the Americans who come down go through life transformation and spiritual growth as a result of the service we give in the villages.
While in Honduras we will also be working on construction projects. I believe we will be helping to construct a church, and we will also be helping install new stoves in El Diviso. These stoves are energy efficient wood-burning stoves that consume much less fuel than the traditional adobe ones, as well as producing almost no interior smoke. They improve air quality over 2,000% according to a study done by the public health students at Indiana University, greatly reduce the work load of those who have to carry the wood (usually women) and help the environment by consuming less fuel. I'm really pumped about this project and am excited to be a part of it.
Please keep praying for me! I rely so heavily on your prayers while I am on these trips, and am always amazed at how much God answers.
Specifically, I need prayers for:
1. safety and health (as always)
2. the Lord's wisdom and Spirit as I speak and translate
3. energy to keep going as the groups come and go
4. God's Spirit to move in a mighty way in his church as we serv

If you are interested in collaborating with me financially as I go on these trips, you can make tax-deductible donations to:
College Park Church (for Nicaragua) or
World Harvest (for Honduras).
You can make the checks out to those organizations and then send them to me at:
320 Thornberry Dr.
Carmel, IN 46032
Anything above and beyond my personal costs always goes directly into helping the communities we work in.
As always, if you would like to donate financially you can, but I am in desperate need of and begging for your PRAYERS!!

Thanks again for praying, and I look forward to reporting on what God will do in the future!!
