My friend Kandice used to keep a list of things worth getting up before 8AM for...including international travel, close friends, etc. It was a short list.
I've been home for a month now, and I too have a list...of things that are better than guacamole. Oh, I love eating guacamole, don't get me wrong, but here's my list of things that are even better than eating guacamole, as I've remembered since I've been home.
1. Spending time with old friends who've known you a LONG time whom you haven't seen in over six months.
2. Playing with babies of friends you haven't seen in a long time.
3. Going to College Park.
4. Sleeping in past 6:30 every once in awhile because your windows don't face due east.
5. Sharing the many ways He's been faithful in this last year with all those who've lifted you up and supported you during that time.
6. Long hugs with people who love you.
7. Talking about international stuff for hours with people who've been to a huge variety of foreign countries.
There are other things I love about being home, but those are the things that make the list of better than guacamole.
