Asian hotels

This is now my sixth week (out of seven) on the road, staying in the tenth out of eleven different hotel beds (and two nights at a friend's house, lovely to be in a house!)  I never expected life in Asia to make me a connoisseur of Asian hotels, but the eight weeks of homelessness between fall and spring semester has made one out of me!

Top 5 things I dislike about staying in different hotels for two months:
1.  Having to get dressed to get breakfast.  I miss breakfast in my PJs at a relaxed pace.
2.  The difficulty of having a quick meal that's not fast food or little snacks.
3.  The inability to take home and reheat leftovers.
4.  The constant search for coffee shops
5.  Spotty internet ability (sometimes it's too expensive, sometimes the free one doesn't work well)

Top 5 things I like about staying in different hotels for two months:
1.  When things get on my nerves, I know that the situation will be different soon.
2.  Having a bathtub on several occasions.
3.  Staying with family and friends and spending great time with a lot of different people.
4.  Exploring different food options in four different cities
5.  The reminder that this world is NOT my home, anywhere at all

Still, I'm ready to be back in my apartment in China, even with all its own quirks!!
