In America, it's easy to get lazy and comfortable, just sit back and go along for the ride. I'm home for a short visit, and I'm amazed by the ways so many people in my community here are bucking that trend and seeking to live life intentionally. Perhaps I notice this because I'm interacting with people who are on my team and are regularly sacrificing to be an intentional part of the Master's global work even from home, but I'm so blessed by it.
I have friends who:
--intentionally parent their children to know Him
--intentionally make mention of me and other workers with their children to the Father regularly
--give of their time to serve others
--make friendships with those around them to share Light
--consider how to best make eternal use of their possessions to glorify Him
--regularly plan what they want to focus on in their inner growth this year
--make time and plans to get together to lift up those working overseas
--are considering moving overseas themselves for the sake of the Master
--are vulnerable and accountable with others in the community
--are really willing to listen and counsel into other's lives.
It's beautiful. It's refreshing. It will be rewarded. I've been blessed and challenged by my intentional community that the Master has given me in Indianapolis, and as I leave for Asia again soon, I hope to take that fire and live even more intentionally in the city where I study!
