broken pipes

This week has been rough, mainly due to unreliable connections.  My internet has been slow and very unreliable, and I've wasted lots of time and energy trying to fix it.  It only works for a few minutes, and then I get a message saying something about a broken pipe.  I turn my wifi off and then back on and the internet works for another five minutes.  Maybe it's a router problem?  Maybe it's an internet problem?  I'm just not sure.

Also the radiator in my bathroom is leaking.  So with my tutor I called my landlord's guy and they came on Wednesday to fix it.  Turns out they can't fix it now because it needs a new part and they can't install that new part until the heat goes off.  When the heat goes off however, there won't be any water left in the radiators so they won't leak anymore anyway.  So they re-duct-taped the leaking part, except they used fabric strips because China doesn't really have duct tape like America does.  The leak slowed down a little, but it's still there.

So in both cases, something is broken, tried to repair, and just not quite fixed.  Perhaps a metaphor for life in this world?
