A challenge to a new adventure

It's time for a new adventure.  As I've committed to blogging twice a month, and have been maintaining this blog since 2008, I've seen the adventures change.  From traveling the world to teaching in a new culture within my own city to seeing my best friend cope with cancer by grace to moving to China, the adventures don't quit.  But this summer as I know I need to blog because it's the end of July and I've only written once, I'm seeing the need for new eyes.  All the blog post topics have already been written, as I'm doing the same thing this summer as last summer, and although I love it, I don't want to rewrite what I've already written.

I know the new adventure is coming: soon I'll be living in a new Chinese city, learning a new language, meeting new friends.  I'm excited and ready for this new adventure (although I know it will be hard).  But I don't know what I'll have to write about: since I'm still moving back to a country I already know and have written about the initial get-used-to-it stuff, and the language will be too complex to write a simple post that people will want to read. (I'll be fascinated by it, but I don't want to force it on others).

This last week I read an article by a guy who spent a whole day on one line of the Beijing subway. It was well done and a clever idea.  I want to have more adventures like that: fun, interesting, informative and creative.

So I'm throwing out a challenge.  Find me an adventure!  Find me a topic you're interested in!  Help me think of new and creative things to express!  I've got my comments section closed off since I need to monitor things very carefully in my situation, but send me an email or a message about a topic you think would be an interesting one to explore in this next year!
